Governance
BACP is run by a management committee comprising of 15 trustees elected by the general members. Subsequent amendments to the constitution approved by the general members have replaced elections from annual to biennial to elections every three years.
The trustees meet every six weeks, or thereabout to review, discuss and decide on the affairs of the organisation, its activities and plans of actions. The day to day running of the organisation and its services are managed by a team of staff and volunteers with the Centre Manager at the helm. The Centre Manager works closely with the Office Bearers comprising of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary and the Treasurer. In addition, management sub-committees are formed to focus on the aspects of individual service areas, as and when needed, and inform the full board. This government structure seeks to ensure that the services and the activities carried out by the organisation are in keeping with its objectives, satisfy the needs of the community and deliver the overall mission.
